MBA Lunch and Learn Series, March 20, 2010
Money and Banking: The Historic Times
of Late 2009-2010
The MBA Lunch and Learn Series continues on March 20, 2010, with a lecture by Tom
Buckridge, former senior vice president of Citicorp Services, Inc., who will speak
about, “Money and Banking: The Historic Times of Late 2009-2010.” The lecture will
take place from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in Selby Auditorium on the university’s main
campus, and will be available live through video conferencing technology at the university’s
Chesapeake, Virginia, and Gwinnett, Georgia, locations. The event is free and open
to the public.
As a banker with 30 years of finance and management experience, Buckridge
recently retired from Citigroup as senior vice president of Citicorp Services, Inc.,
and as a board member on that subsidiary’s board of directors. He holds a B.A. in
mathematics from Saint John’s University and an M.B.A. from New York Institute of
Technology, where he graduated cum laude with a finance thesis.
Buckridge devoted
15 years of service to the Board of Trustees at Saint Leo University and served as
the chair of the board’s business affairs committee for five years. He also served
for seven years as a trustee on the Greater Tampa Bay Chamber of Commerce, where
he assisted in bringing businesses into the area. He presently serves on the board
of the Center for Catholic-Jewish Studies where he was one of the founding board
members and was the organization’s long-time treasurer.
Currently, Buckridge is managing
director of Nummarius, LLC, a consulting group specializing in finance and compliance.
In that role, he serves as vice president of finance for an emerging healthcare firm
in the Tampa Bay area.
Lunch will be provided before the lecture at the main campus
location.
